Releasing your own music takes more than just talent — it demands energy, courage, and a willingness to wrestle with self-doubt. Dan Jones knows this journey well. He’s fought the demons of procrastination, embraced the patience that creativity requires, and come out stronger for it. Now, he’s proud to share his music with the world.
In 2021, Dan released his instrumental solo album Zero Four Nine, earning critical acclaim for its artistry and precision. But he’s not stopping there. For the first time, Dan is stepping into the spotlight as a lead vocalist with the release of his debut country rock EP — a bold new chapter in his musical story.
Dan’s creativity doesn’t end with his solo work. As a co-writer and recording artist, he helped shape four albums with the progressive rock band The Dreaming Tree. These albums, brimming with intricate melodies and storytelling, are available on streaming platforms for fans of adventurous, genre-bending music.

The story
Dan Jones: From Kitchen Gigs to Global Stages
In March 2023, Dan Jones decided it was time to dive back into the thrill of live performances. Little did he know, the universe was listening. Almost as soon as the words left his mouth, his phone rang. On the other end was none other than Dave Odart, pitching a brand-new project. The idea? The Luke Combs UK Tribute — a band now recognized as the world’s premier tribute to country megastar Luke Combs.
Fast-forward to spring 2025, and what a whirlwind journey it’s been! From their humble beginnings, playing their first gig in a kitchen, to rocking packed venues like the stunning Bath Forum, Dan and the band have been riding a wave of success. And the best part? The future’s looking even brighter, with tours lined up across the USA, Canada, and Australia.
But Dan’s story doesn’t stop there. Over the years, he’s earned a reputation as one of the UK’s finest guitarists, regularly featured in national music press like Classic Rock Magazine, Powerplay, and Fireworks. His 2021 solo album, Zero Four Nine, received glowing reviews, including a stellar 9/10 in Powerplay Magazine, and drew praise from outlets like The Razors Edge and the Dutch Progressive Rock Pages.
Dan’s passion for music knows no boundaries, spanning Rock, Blues, Jazz, and now, Country. With the upcoming release of his new country EP, One More Whiskey for the Road, Dan delves deep into the influences he’s absorbed while playing with the Luke Combs UK Tribute. Inspired by the energy and soul of artists like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, and Zac Brown Band, Dan is embracing the vibrant, lively world of modern country music — and bringing his own unique touch to the genre.
